BayTree unveils new brand to reflect its evolution as a strategic business partner

BayTree has unveiled a new brand identity that reflects how the business has evolved from a traditional virtual support provider into a trusted strategic partner for ambitious business owners. The refresh marks a conscious move away from the term virtual assistant, a phrase that no longer captures the depth, breadth and impact of the support BayTree delivers to clients every day.

At its heart, the rebrand is about better reflecting what BayTree has become: a business built on partnership and trust, helping clients create the space, structure and confidence to thrive. While the tools businesses use continue to evolve, BayTree believes that strong relationships remain at the centre of business success.

“This refresh of our brand, and the language we use, reflects who we are today,” says Jane Cattermole, Founder of BayTree. “We wanted to move beyond the confusion often associated with the term ‘virtual’ and place the focus firmly on the value we bring, the relationships we build and the outcomes we help our clients achieve.”

Today’s business environment looks quite different from when BayTree launched in 2008. Technology has transformed the way organisations operate, creating new efficiencies and opportunities. Yet as more processes become automated, the need for good people to provide judgement, context, communication and continuity has become even more important. Businesses are increasingly recognising that while technology can streamline activity, leaders remain time poor.

This shift is reflected in the changing role of the Executive Assistant. No longer viewed simply as administrative support, today’s Executive Assistants take a more strategic role as coordinators and organisers and help leaders protect their focus, manage competing priorities and maintain momentum.

Today, BayTree is far more than an Executive Assistant service

“The way we support clients has changed dramatically over the past few years, Jane explains. Technology has transformed how businesses operate, and our role has evolved alongside it. Clients partner with BayTree to access agile, flexible and highly skilled support that adapts to the needs of their business without the overhead costs associated with traditional employment models. We’re helping clients navigate change, create capacity and build stronger foundations for growth.”

Many BayTree Executive Assistants now support clients with planning, project delivery, stakeholder management and operational decision-making. What often begins as practical support evolves into a collaborative, long-term partnership built on mutual trust and understanding. Increasingly, clients rely on their Executive Assistant not simply to execute tasks, but to help filter noise, manage priorities and create the conditions for progress.

The rebrand journey began earlier this year with a strategic workshop led by business coach Alison Rogers, helping the leadership team define the next chapter for the business. BayTree then partnered with brand strategist James Kindred, who approached more than 100 stakeholders before working closely with the team to develop a brand playbook that captured BayTree’s personality, values and vision for the future.

Bringing the new identity to life became a collaborative effort involving designer Nick Brown of Inspire and illustrator MH Jeeves, whose artwork provides a thoughtful and light-hearted connection between BayTree’s heritage and its future.

“We’re really pleased with what we’ve created, says Jane. There’s a clear nod to our past, but this brand gives us the platform to tell a much bigger story about who we are and how we help our clients move forward.

As our business has grown, so has the value we deliver to clients and the opportunities we create for our people. Since founding BayTree in 2008, I’ve focused on building flexible, rewarding careers for Executive Assistants while helping leaders achieve more through trusted support. Our new identity reflects that purpose: practical expertise, genuine care and the confidence to help clients focus on what matters most.”
